COVID-19 Community Update

We received negative test results on the suspected COVID-19 case we first notified you about on April 30, 2020. These negative test results confirm that the suspected resident does NOT have COVID-19.
We will continue to treat the identified resident per physician orders and closely monitor all others for signs or symptoms. There remains no positive cases among our residents or staff. However, we are prepared for the possibility of one of our residents contracting this virus.
Our plan allows us to isolate, provide care and give you timely notification if we suspect or receive confirmation of a COVID-19 positive result in a resident.
Here is what you can expect from us:
- If a resident displays symptoms: Our first priority is to work with the physician to treat the resident. We will then alert the Department of Health and a test will be conducted for the virus, promptly notifying the immediate family/guardian contact.
- Within 12 hours: All other residents, families/guardians, and employees will be notified. Processing time of the lab can exceed 72 hours, depending on their workload.
- Once results are received: We will again inform you of our immediate response to quarantine the patient and to prevent spread of the virus.
We are hopeful that, nationwide, the COVID-19 pandemic will continue its trend downward and we will be able to lift our visitor restrictions. Ensuring both residents and employees are cared for in a safe and healthy environment is our first priority.
